Back on topic: I think 1.6 is the best version of DB yet and I'm really looking forward to 1.7. I think DavidM is right, if we went back to 1.3b or whatever I doubt we'd all rave about it. Nostalgia plays tricks on people...Try playing your favourite game from yesteryear on an emulator and you'll s...

Ping makes such a difference. :o

When I play on the European servers I play like a huge sack of shit. When I play on the American server, I play a whole lot better. :\

It's almost amazing how much of a difference that tenth of a second makes.

2v1 matches are usually pretty close since one of the two players just gets in the way, misses, and then the player behind isn't expecting the ball so it goes through and he scores. Playing doubles is tough. :P Chick, XiLLeRaToR, and myself played a thing where you play for one point, whoever loses ...

Hopefully they'll have a new engine by late 2004. :P

Yeh, definately starting to look very nice. I still disagree about your choice of textures, but that is not mine to choose. Hopefully it'll play well and find its way onto some servers soon after you release.

I use mIRC in conjunction with Trillian because I like mIRC's coding style, and I'm way too lazy to learn Trillian's code.

Okay, whenever you're ready, just message me on AIM then (cajuncook155), and I'll point you to a server where we can play.

As I'm on the East Coast, this might actually prove to be more difficult. I usually do things at night. Oh well, we can see what works out. And Trillian is cool. :D

I'm available whenever. If you're ever on IRC, I'm on EFnet (#nintendo, #vt) and Quakenet (#deathball). Now that I've graduated, I'll definately have some time to play whenever. It's probably more conveinent for you to tell me what times are good, because I'm willing to bet my schedule will be more ...

Yeah, playing online for the first time is an aweing experience. Just wait until you get stuck playing keeper. You'll pick up skill relatively fast, but at first you're going to think you're about half the size you need to be. ;) Once you learn how to play defense, you can play offense twice as well...
