The main problem with this gametype, the way it was proposed is that there is only 2 players per team.

You can't have permanent goal keepers, as then the game would just degrade to wall happy solo attacks.

Your team-mate needs to come out of an opposition goal and help you attack. Be someone to ...

Requirements = simple.

5 seconds total sprint bar - stamina if you will.
Begin map with 3 seconds of sprint (3/5 full).
15 seconds to fully recharge stamina.
Each jump removes 1 second worth of stamina.

All above = easy code.

Cannot sprint while jumping.
Cannot jump immediately after sprinting ...

Sooo slow.

No variety to movement.

Oh and all above is far more effective when the non ball carriers speed is noticably faster than the ball carriers*
ie with sprint.

Sprint provided for more tactical options both in defending and attacking.

= more interesting game.







*since it limits downside risk by letting you get back ...

The whole 'staying goalside' of an opponent aspect of the article seriously limits your defensive ability.

'Fronting' an opponent if done appropriately, stops them from ever getting the ball.

They don't get the ball - they don't score.
Simple.
