*the bats and owls disperse and return to their natural habitats*

*eyes fade and her body becomes limp*

*thrown to the ground by the jolt of electricity*

*clambers to her feet and lauches herself and angelica, all claws and teeth*

*holds kex, uncertain of the feelings her warmth is stirring in her, but only for a second*

*tilts kex's head so that the uninjured side of her neck is uppermost, and drinks deeply*

*sees kex and smiles sweetly*

*holds out her arms*

Come to me, kex.

Come out! I can't find you! I want to hold you so much...

*wipes blood from her face with the back of her hand*

*grinning*

I'm here! I was so scared... i didn't want to run away, but I was so afraid of hurting you! Can you forgive me?

*sniffs the air inside the tent*

*calls sweetly*

Kex? My love? Are you here?

*becomes indistinct as smoke*

*reappears by Tinman, and sinks her teeth into his neck, drawing as much blood as possible in a short time before melting away*

*snarls, half laughing, and pushes back off the sword, somersaulting into a crouching defensive stance*

*blood trickles down her face*

*seemingly without moving, is by kex's side*

*holds her in a lover's hold, then bites a bloody chunk from the side of her neck, dropping her to the ground*

*stalks into camp, tall and elegant, obviously older, hard to see and seemingly shrouded in shadow*

*walks upright, a hungry, animal look in her blazing eyes*

*a cloud of owls and bats surrounds her, melting silently around obstacles*

*fixes her eyes on the paltry group by the tent*

*draws her ...

*wakes and carefully extracts herself from Kex's grasp, not waking her*

*looks down at kex, suddenly feeling ravenous*

*takes a deep breath and turns and runs away further into the forest as she transforms*

(and doesn't stop and go to sleep; she's a friggin' vampire)
