After years (!!) of guessing random shit in this level, I finally beat it!

Could someone explain me, how the fuck there is a logical way to get to that answer?!
I only got this one with pure guessing. Over years!
And the answer didn't make me understand this level.

I think I have an idea, but don't really know if it's right/I'm using it the right way.
May I pm someone what I have?
