I agree \o/
I'll definitely try a pickup with sprint on if it's h4xxed to what it used to be.

Maybe this is the right time to bring more depth and less boredom to deathball :)

ps: And who wudda thought the ozzies were actually MORE than a couple of hours ahead of time :p ;)

even 1.6 sprint was stuffed with the ability to sprint-jump. once you get used to sprint it becomes a vital asset and learning how to save it really gives you the one up in a lot of situations. problem with sprint is it will take a lot of tweaking to get it just right.

(ps give it to us to test were used to it ;) )

/me wants exclusive beta :p

Requirements = simple.

5 seconds total sprint bar - stamina if you will.
Begin map with 3 seconds of sprint (3/5 full).
15 seconds to fully recharge stamina.
Each jump removes 1 second worth of stamina.

All above = easy code.

Cannot sprint while jumping.
Cannot jump immediately after sprinting which = super jump... = abused / lame.

These two = mega hard to code apparently.
Unless these two elements can be worked out, there is no point in sprint - it won't be right.

Problem with coding this appears to be that movement and jumping appear to be linked. Removing that link (as is required when sprint is used) breaks the game or something.

I've given up.

hmmm, i'm from Australia, and i'm gonna stick by the decision of keeping sprint off (sorry people :/)

i've been having a lot more fun lately, and there have been a lot more "cool" goals, rather then "SPRINT IN AND SHOOT AS FAST AS U CAN".........less spammy, and usually more skillful + exciting

and now, because every1 is used to it, people will just complain even more if it is brought back

but uhhhhhhhh i think it might be OK if we brought in a really small amount of sprint with a slow reccharge, like what Stu said

i'd probably still have more fun with it off, but i dunno, that's just me

That's probably because most of those that loved sprint have already quit playing DB. :blabla:
You were always a part of the minority that hated sprint Zonk. Quite frankly, I don't care if it takes much skill or not,
I just care if it's fun.

I meant the minority among Australians. Most of us loved sprint.

I'm guessing lots of ppl quit because of sprint, and then even more because there were so little people?

Duh ;p
