we wont even try to make em human-like
all companys claim their bots are super dooper stuff, and then you realize they are piss dumb
i just tell you......the ARE dumb

you wouldnt want that
you want to trust your keeper
if he does stupid mistakes it gets annoying, cuz it was not your fault
i guess in the end it will be an obvious thing, there are balls he gets and balls he doesnt get, not much luck or mistakes
afterall, its just the keeper....doesnt matter much
Lowest level shud be for people who just step in the game They should be able to score, but they also should learn quite fast from how far to shoot (most noobs you see can't help getting too excited and shooting from twice pzone length away from the goal)
i found a little bug, if you try to pass the ball back to your keeper, (i tested this on experienced only) he will dodge out of the way and you score on yourself.
The enemy keeper also dodges out of the way, but of course you get a point
dont want to sound the pessimist, and as Dave previously said - the out field bots are more important - and look like a harder task to code the AI for. How are these coming along ? You say that they will only be for fun - does this mean there is no chance of a "speedball 2" style feature with single player leagues, etc, maybe player swicthing (a la fifa) , and more of a complex single player game.
Will the bots do "cata" moves ? set up manual pass vollys ? be able to find/create space, etc ?
tbh if the bots are good and a single player mode is fun, and also helps players learn skills so they can enter an online game with experienced players and fit in ok, then this can do wonders for the db community
