A MILLION DOLLARS is just the spectacularly sounding total amount of prize money to be won..
...in bits and pieces that is, and impossible for just one mod-team, let alone one person to receive, unless they win every phase in every category...and do it as a school project
That's a lot of money to dish out, but just imagine how much more money Epic is making off it? Lots of people will be buying UT2003 just for the mods (I know some friends that bought it for Deathball and Red Orchestra).
i thought it was a miilion dollers worth of prizes - isnt the top prize a license for the UT2k3 engine ? i think that retails at $500,000 or something anyway.
Also - by helping the community - i mean a way for people to learn without being online. The amount of n00bs i see still getting flamed on publics sucks tbh no matter how much you try to be nice and help and polite, 90% of the time the flamers continous spamming abuse overides it
