Here's a suggestion.. I frequent a bunch of forums and when a thread is used for ongoing development, the thread starter always keeps the first post in that thread current with the most recent download links and most importantly, the announcement that the project (map) is complete.
Prevents people from downloading (or attemtpting to) old betas that won't show your project at its best..

Just a thought - works well at other places.
