ok , here is a small enigma, submitted by einstein, who thought that nearly 98% of the hummanity can't solve it

here we go:

5 men, of 5 different nationalities, living in 5 houses of different colors, smoking cigs of 5 different brands, drinking 5 different drink (x.x), and living with 5 different kind of animal

(i.e each man got 1 drink,1 house etc......)

Question is:Who lives with the fish

some tips:

*the norwegian lives in 1st house
*the english lives in red house
*the green house is on the left of white house
*the danisk drink tea
*the "Rothman" smoker lives close to the 1 with the cat
*the 1 in yellow house smokes "dunhill"
*the german smokes "marlboro"
*the 1 living in the center house drinks milk
*the "rothman" smoker got a neighbour who drinks water
*the "pall mall" smoker lives with a bird
*the swedish lives with a dog
*the norwegian lives close to the blue house
*the 1 living with a horse lives close to yellow house
*the "philip morris" somker drinks beer
*in green house, we drink coffee

so, who lives with the fish?

edit:i gonna follow FC 's idea, which is that i gonna close the thread to let us think a bit about it, then u gonna be able to post answers soon :p

Last time i tried this (about 4 years ago) i looked on the net.. takes the edge of it when you know...

idd...it's the Marlboro smokin, coffee drinkin, green housed German, in the 5th house.

And here's my highly technological (and environmentally friendly) method for solving it...

btw. the greenhoused german cannot be in house number 5, because: *the green house is on the left of white house
which makes the green house be no4

OMG...what a nüb I am...

I get all the hard bit right, and then go and put the white and green houses the wrong way round /o\
