One Last Request...

Post by InSaNe` »

This is my last request for Bazzi DavidM or anyone who knows what I'm talking about.

I've some how made 3.65 gigs available in my HD. Now it is enough to install UT2K3 so I can play DB again, but I also don't play CTF or any other game type for that matter..

So can someone please make an Un-Installer that deletes all the not-needed files to run DB?

I'm sure it will make many people's life easier and save them some space.

ya the maps
its hard to find the other packages.
but you can step by step remove the biggest texture packages and check if it still works.
textures are the main problem, damn huge

Why make an uninstaller? Just knock up a batch file or somthing. Or heaven forbid you actually delete the files..dum dum dum!...manually.

Yes, if it wasn't for the people that would make (horrible) mistakes in deleting files ;)

And then there's the lazy people.

Think of it as weeding out the wheat from the chaff. If they mess up their DB installation the IQ of the average DB player will go up. :hmmmz:

How can you get rid of any texture packages? Even if none of the current maps use the ones that you delete, what happens if a map comes out in the future that uses that package and you want to play it??? Hmm???? Will you be prancing then?

WE should not be releasing maps that require their textures.
I started to use only my own textures, and if I don't, i import the textures into the map itself

but i dunno about community maps, they normally use all the textures and meshes epic/de created
