Ok new problem

Ok, plz tell me what i am doing wrong. I extracted 2.0 to the 2k4 folder then installed the update on top of it. Deleted deathball.ini and deathballuser. opened up deathball through the play deathball shortcut. it said file not found but the deathball splash screen comes up and it goes to 2k4 (without the settings that i had set b4 so i am assuming these are seperate settinges for db)

BUT no deathball in the menus or in istant action. wtf! btw this is a fresh install of 2k4 becuase i couldn't even get past the wrong cd key thing b4. this is really pissing me off.

I wish you would spend the time to make a umod so that ppl didn't have to dell with this bs... would be really good for the mod. if one out of ten ppl that try to play db can't get it to work (right away) we lose a lot of ppl. My guess is the percentage is even more than this.

did u install db in its own dir?

um i don't knwo what that means I just extracted it to the 2k4 folder with winrar, and now there is a folder inside 2k4 that is deathball (none of the files are anywhere except in the deathball files).

ok figured it out with some help but still needs umod so ppl dont' have to worry about this shit, imo don't go public (aka just do a priv release in teh db community) until you have an umod

its quite simple, move the ut2004 folder from the .zip and put it where your ut2004 folder is.
