Cannot get Deathball to load for UT2004

I installed both of the patches for DB 2.0 (twice). Whenever I launch the game normally and goto COMMUNITY>USER MODS>ACTIVATE it crashes and gives me this error.

UT2004 Build UT2004_Patch_[2004-05-10_17.18]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 1709 MHz with 511MB RAM
Video: No Video

Can't find file for package 'Deathball'

History: UObject::SafeLoadError <- UObject::StaticLoadClass <- InitEngine <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Free

If i goto C:\Games\UT2004\DEATHBALL and try to launch it from there i get a runtime error:

Runtime Error!

Program C:\games\UT2004\System\UT2004.exe

As i mentioned before I've reinstalled this twice using the steps indicated on the downloads page of the Deathball site. The 45 meg one first...then the 8mb update. I've deleted ini files and do have the new Ut2k4 patch. Any ideas?

Did you try it before installing the new UT2k4 patch?

Well that could be your problem. Obviously, since the DB2.0 beta came out before the UT2k4 patch there could be compatibility problems.
