cant connect to any servers\dl probs

ok, so i installed db for 2k4 and all was going well at first. Now i cant connect to ANY other servers besides db ones. any suggestions?

another thing..are there like 2000 different versions of every map, because everytime i try to join a server it makes me dl that map again, i just installed 2.0b or someting like taht and now it wants to send me some 20 meg map shit. fuck

download beta 5
if ur unsure which version u have, join dbl1 and that is always running the latest version, some servers may not have updated

no the server says beta 5 on it so its updated

erase the deathball dir in 2k4, and reinstall it. if that fails you could erase everything in the cache dir and maybe that'll help. i've noticed when joining the bud server on a fresh install it makes you download a few weird files that go into like 400% downloaded hehe.

if that fails. perhapse you need to patch for unreal? eh i dunno :O redownloading maps sucks. but sometimes ya just gotta do it :<

no, its wierd, it will dl the map pretty fast, then it will give me the same map to dl and it goes .01% every 2 seconds :\

but i am just reinstalling everything, 2k4 and db :]

Delete all DB related files not in \Ut2004\deathball
