Yes, padding and hockey masks would seem interesting, but not only would it take too much power for such a frequent occurance,
the yellow thing is also infinitely more obvious and easily noticeable, as well as it getting not even close to the impact that extra modelled clothing being added would have on your computer.
A combination wouldn't be good imo, because of performance issues and simply the fact that you would have it covered in yellow glow anyway
