well, fingers have 3 bones and 3 knuckles and thumbs have two bones and two knuckles.

in my opinion, 10 is a binary digit which means 2, so the option for 2 fingers is double here. Therefore, i chose for 8

I believe a thumb is classed when it has only 3 joints, where as 4 is found in fingers
