Newbie question

Post by ][jim][ »

Ive played a few games and Im getting better at it now (well, scored a few goals and set up loads - still rubbish at keeper and jumping to intercept balls). I got kicked off a server because (I presume) I was playing with some people who were excellent and I was spoiling their game. Ive no problem with this but Ive seen there is a NOOB server but no one is ever on it.

Any servers that are newbie tolerant?

All should be.

you NA or EU?

There are quite a few EU servers, including GS.net ones (which no one with admin will ban you off for being a rookie)

and 123/4 ones - where i hope no one bans you off for being a rookie...

GS.net:

ut2004://62.212.75.140:7220/
ut2004://62.212.75.207:7200/

123/4 (EU servers)

ut2004://195.157.35.92:7777
ut2004://195.157.35.93:7777

theres a bigger list here...

1234 server is prolly the best server for new people.

Wat server kicked you? cos if it was for being new and not being as good as others they want a slap, and naming and shaming at the same time!

Thanks for that guys.

Im EU.

BTW Im not sure if was because Im not very good - they didnt say, I just got kicked, but I wasnt talking so I cant think what else it could have been for. Cant remember what server it was, sry.

I read something about NOOB nights. Any more coming up?

*edit* BTW I play one the 1234 server a lot because my ping is so good on it and got a lot of encouragement from a guy called TOM (nice pass, good teamwork, nice goal etc). I didnt get his full name (d/c) but if you know who you are - cheers TOM

The beginners nights are planned to be held every month, but this is still under discussion.
