Tried it: sucks :)

But maybe it's just that I don't like racing games ;)

Menu/loading screens really fucked up (only in low detail textures? haven't tried, but shouldn't be affected much by those settings imo :s)
Vehicle choice is ok for an alpha (2 pretty much the same 'all round'-vehicles, and 2 pretty much the same 'heavy'-vehicles.

Goes pretty fast, doesn't feel like you can control it much :s the brake hardly seems to give you any more control over steering etc...then again, I might just be a noob at racing games (I am.)

I'm sure some people will like it 8)

And err..speed boost effects look nice? ^^;

Just for the record, I am a wipEout whore. I played 2097 to death. Hell, I'm still playing it today. This mod has some nice potential. The stylisation + design are very nice, and some good maps/tracks.

But the vehicles feel too sluggish. Even the "light" ones are very slow to move about, and it's quite difficult to throw then around corners. Perhaps some kind of airbraking system is needed to allow drivers to kick the back-ends of the vehicles about.

some poor tracks designs too. i have no respect for dead end walls alternating on the left and right, especially when the vehicles are so tough to control and even more so when its supposed to be the 'speed' track.

the unearthed track is awesome tho and there is definitely a lot of potential there, incredible that it looks this good on the alpha release.
