Weird mouse thingy...

This might just be me, but I can't talk in ventrilo when I Deathball is open. I have Ventrilo bound to mouse4, with the latest drivers installed. Does anyone have any ideas?

Im guessing Ventrilo is some sort of voice comm like TeamSpeak?

Have you tried it with normal UT2K4?

Try lookin for the mouse button 4 bind in the deathball user ini file, and deleting it?

No idea, to be honest, but might be worth a go?

as far as i know ventrilo is largely used by cs players cos the in game comms suk monkey poo, not heard of it much in db before.

Mayb the ingame comms for ut mess with it? i dunno , im like jr except im sexier

ventrillo doesnt work with mouse 4 in ut2k4 im guessing

sounds like 2k4 doesnt like to use mouse keys for anything else in the background then the game itself, just try using another key, tab is a nice one.

i got ventrillo also, dont use it much though.

Ventrilo is far better than Roger Wilco or Teamspeak and I can recommend it to anyone

A lot of programs have difficulties with mouse4 or anything driver specific like that.

I suggest remapping the mouse4 to a button like pagedown (or another one you never use in a game), that will make sure there's no conflicts between the programs, as long as you unbind pagedown from ut2k4 and db

I'm sure your drivers will allow that, if you have Logitech, I'm sure they do

I've got my thumb buttons bound to pageup and pagedown, and my 8th button bound to o (I don't use that in-game, so that's why, can be anything)

Pageup is "Use Boost" in DB, and bound to the handgun in ET
Pagedown is "Pass to Me!" in DB, and bound to SMG in ET
The 8th 'application switch'(alt+tab ripoff) button is bound to o, which is 3rd special weapon in ET, and bound to adminlogin for gameservers.net servers in DB.
