Deathball Servers not showing up....

i went to the Mirc chat room and asked them about this problem i am having aswell

the problem is that i cannot see ANY deathball servers and so i cannot play the Mod online (The people on Mirc said that there was about 20 servers online at this time) The Mirc chat room told me to disable 'standard servers only' and to make sure that no filters were enabled - i did these tasks and i still could not see any servers...i also reinstalled/repatched the game, but i still cannot see any servers - now i have no clue on how to solve this issue - any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do you startup the DeathBall mod?

Are you just running UT2004 in the normal way? If you are, don't.
Use the Deathball.cmd found in the ../ut2004/deathball folder.

i am using the shotcut from the start menu -
BUT i have tried a few different methods to start deathball - from ut2k4 community section - and the cmd
still not fixed

Something must be configured wrong here.. Can we see the contents of your deathball.ini

Make sure to select "Deathball" at the game type dropdown ... this remains blank sometimes, thus not showing anything at all. Happened to me before...

ok ill upload my Deathball.ini file - its rather long to copy and paste everything here
i made sure that deathball was selected and still i dont see servers....

Try those servers while trying to fix your serverbrowser

If you really can't make it work..google for 'All-seeing Eye', which is a great standalone serverbrowser

edit: As said in the original thread, it's definitely not a complete list, especially on the ozzy side..so feel free to add other servers if I missed some :)cba to look for them as it's only for temporary use obviously

Ok, I looked it over and even used it, it's fine. Might be you have some kind of odd filter set in your server browser.
How about letting us see your user.ini and deathballuser.ini now?
the deathball one is the one that will be in use when you start db with the cmd. It's built in part from the main user.ini though..

On mine, theres no name "deathball" on the pulldown and the default is set to "last Man Staning" but it still finds DB servers even after refreshing...

odd....
i deleted the ini files mentioned on another board so another one is made when i run db - dunno y i cant see servers still...im using the 'manual' method to play right now
