FIFA Gametype?

i have to agree with the foomeister
i would love to try this - to play a game with a clan using shape, formation, tactics, instead of "OMG Teh Enemy has teh ball, quick, everyone boost back to penalty area"
If a team committed to much attack, they would be weak in defense, if they defended to hard, their attack would be limited. No longer can they spam the ball out of the pitch to get a reset, now they would have to be careful not to conceed a corner.
I would play it :> maybe not instead of db, but aswell
call it deathball - pro

david your ideas have merit but are far from the final word on the subject. A mod that was simalar to the fifa idea could possibly be created by using the mouse as a control of the "foot" it might be confusing (I don't feel like spelling it out but i can invision it being possible with work). Also if you were to make a usb controler with the joy pads on it you could all sorts of neat things.
but even though foo called it fifa mode that doesn't mean it would be aimed at completely replicating soccer/football. I believe foo simply meant to make a verson of deathball that was more like fifa.
tbh if you took out boost and mebe gave the O player a way to dribble you would have a much more tactical game than db is curently (which would be welcome to me)
