You people obviously don't know what you're talking about
I wouldn't say he's the best, because his music isn't really my thing, but he's definitely got skill and he's pretty much a legend.
I'm surprised hardly anyone knows him here
bit silly
besides: wtf, he did the aristocats soundtrack ffs ;p know your disney music fools >:(

Carlos Santana?
Frushy is good, ya.
But so are a lot of others (Jimi Hendrix comes to mind <3)
I don't think you can really say who is technically the best, and even then..there's a lot more stuff that's important.
As long as he does his part in a good band, or creates good musical compositions on his own.
Then the quality of that is eventually more important than his (individual) skill with the guitar
As for solo's etc...I like bass solo's more anyway
\o/

Yes, Mike Balzary (Flea) is nice.
So is Cliff Burton.
So is Jason Newsted.
Hell, so is Fieldy! (he's in a shit band though
)
But my real heroes are Les Claypool, Victor Wooten, Mark King, Marcus Miller and Jaco Pastorius!
Saying Flea is definitely the best is an insult to those who have mastered the art of bass solo's and their neverending complexity
Flea is good, and he's got the groove .o/ and skill, and experience
But all he really does is finger and slap/pop (does he even pop?)
He's great, but there's way better stuff out there tbh
(I love Flea though <3)
