Hiphop stream!

Post by RaGe|DB »

Woah, After lots of songs on my harddisk I decided it was time to find some live stream of good old hiphop..

Anyway, I found some station pretty soon, however, it had ja rule and all (BLEGH)..
so I searched on, and came across:

http://www.thehiphopstation.com

pretty cool stream if you like good hiphop :-)

edit, some songs are a bit to girlish tho ;-)

Or go to your local recordshop, listen to some records and buy some \o/

Then go home, turn off the lights, turn the volume up, and listen to your new cds :o

You won't regret it :)

..meh, maybe that's irrelevant to the whole concept of radio..but still, it's something you might want to consider ;)

And ya, hiphop isn't really my thing 8) and I never liked radio tbh /o\

internet radio is great way to expand your musical knowledge... less ads/annoying djs than normal radio

Yup, sorry ;) that's what I meant by the concept of radio, although on the other hand, I'm continuously bugged by the fact that I can't choose what music *I* want to hear ;) this also because of the inevitable commercial influences in the station's playlist, although I understand this is less true with internet radio.

It all depends on the way you look at it, but as I said, going to your local recordshop (or another one) can give you enough interesting (or even random) albums to listen to and perhaps also buy.
Then again, their collection also suffers from commercial influences (yet I feel there is more choice :o).

I guess there's a lot of ways of finding out new music (going to your recordshop, listening to the (internet) radio, going to gigs or festivals, reading about other bands' influences, talking to friends with the same (or another) music taste, reading/posting on forums, etc.)

I just personally prefer most of them above radio ;)

Maybe I'm too picky on choosing my own music :<
