What you are failing to grasp is that nobody is against self volleys here. But if you want to consider them as an alternative to a reg shot, then they should require as much skill to pull off successfully. Currently its too easy. And thats why its detrimental to team play. Why is that so hard to understand?
I'm not failing to grasp anything, I'm failing to believe that your points are valid... it's not "too easy", it's not "detrimental", it never was... cause right now self-volleys are not an alternative as they are completely ineffective... why is THAT so hard to understand?
Maybe I should go back to being keeper this way people will be asking to make my job easier... and I won't even play the self-volley cause it's useless now...

I could say the same for you.
Let's break it down shall we.
I think:
in 2.0, the self-volley goal gave an unfair advantage to the attacker and this promoted selfish play. Changes in 2.1 corrected this.
You think:
The changes in 2.1 have made self-volleys goals useless.
You disagree with me and I disagree with you. That's pretty much it.
Oh I forgot the unnecessary flame to make my point.... you're a retard blah blah blah

Ok, let's take this rationally then...
My BACKED opinion is that the self-volley DIDN'T give an unfair advantage to the attacker and by that principle didn't promote selfish play... I've been giving my backing all along, what I'm really looking for is something I absolutely CAN'T rebuddle against...

You are like every liberal in the US, you fail to accept the fact that other people have opinions that may differ from you, whether right or wrong. To you, his opinion may not be backed, but that's because you are biased against him. To him, your opinion may not be backed because he is biased against you. You need to stop the half baked flame war and get over yourself.

I'm not claiming it will.
And your point is a fair one. But to extend your logic one step further. If a self-volley is just like any other shot option then it should be brought in line with the other shot options.
Both the pass shot and the regular shot have inherent risks which makes using them against a decent keeper quite a skillfull process.
In my opinion, the self-volley used to be the easier scoring option because it was faster than a regular shot, jukes the keeper and leaves the attacker less vulnerable to any defence. This is why it was whored and this is why I believe it was necessary to reduce its effectiveness - at least in the Regular game.
I don't agree with it but, it's the best argument yet. Of course, based on your statements the self volley rule should be changed to remove the "+6" or reverse it.
