I'm gonna hafta go ahead and disagree. the whore moves don't make it fun, good team work does. but i think public server wise. its ruined by spam style play which small cube brings, along with everyone wanting to play vo in regular mode confusing the new players.
people want to play small cube cuz its small and more action packed, less running around..
we need more mid sized maps. like a cube type map thats not as big, but not as small as smallcube so there is room to spread out, but not too much where you feel like your running forever in a mmorpg

I agree. as much as i used to love vo, its kinda reduculous and getting rather boring. scrims and pugs are alot more fun lately.
I have high hops that when bots are more polished hopefully some servers will run autobalane with like 2-4 bots on each team so when servers are semi-empty there is still enough to play and 'ok' game to keep the interest there.
empty servers destroy a mod for pub games. :< listen up admins, if your ballsy put on some bots see how your server may pickup in play (tho this won't work for vo

I partly agree on the nets.. while they look a little more stylish and futuristic, they aren't regulation.
Edit: I just stared at a regulation goal and Twigs' goal for a few minutes.. and tbh, I don't like the regulation goals anymore. Maybe taking off the corners of the reg one might rob a goal now and then, but it looks slicker. It keeps the basic functionality while altering it just a little to give it a modern feel - the way cars have evolved from the blocky monstrosities to streamlined speedsters. I dig it.

Personally I think DB needs a little more overall speed... it's a little slow. Increase player speed, increase fire speed, decrease time to wait for catch (i.e. the .2 effect). Right now it's just too slow. On cube, if some guy gets a breakaway it's like:
"Here comes a breakaway... he's moving on in... moving on in... errr still moving on in... and here comes the shot... and here, there it goes... it goes by the keeper, and goes in!"
As for the goals, you wanna prevent egoing and laming? Make the main reg map like November, no backwall to "ego" against. If you want a volley goal it has to come on a pass, or you can just shoot.
