Instructions:
1) Sign off and completely shut down MSN Messenger.
2) Go to your MSN Messenger program directory (usually something like C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger).
3) Rename msgslang.dll (eg. to msgslangbackup.dll) and then place the msgslang.dll included in this zip-file in the MSN Messenger program directory.
4) Go to your application data directory (usually something like C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger (BETA)\<random number>).
5) Delete all data in the sub-directory Wink (repeat this step for all numbers in the MSN Messenger (BETA) directory)
6) Start MSN Messenger, sign on and send the Wink called "Timothy's Wink Blocker" (a blue, devil duck) in those conversations you want to disable Winks in.

The winks are obviously flash, meaning you can use actionscript (hence, you can also use javascript) and execute it on a local basis after creating custom winks
Timothy (the man who found out about it and made a thread about it @ mess.be) actually made a 'wink' that has a cluster of bubbles parting from eachother cluttering your screen..it never ends and goes extremely show..
