wow, bit of a read.

surge, by the shocks, the way i was thinking were to have planes/sheets with an animated texture. maybe there can be a constant flow of electricity (using planes) from the two sides of the ball to where the rings crossover or something. i just think that electricity looks cool :p

oh i see... actually you could make a really cool lightning ball by simply reskinning the current ball with a few minor modifications...
