Wondered why nobody else has started a thread on this :D

(If I was too sleepy to notice someone actually had, I apologise and will delete the thread)

Congrats DB, TV and community :)

<3 best multiplayer game I've ever played :) I bought UT2k4 for it .o/
Never played any other UT2k3 gametype after I found DB :)

Although I haven't played the last months because my provider sucks (small connection loss every 10 minutes or so)

Err ya anyway..Happy Birthday DB .o/ \o/

edit: cool..it seems to be Lynx' birthday too :D

Happy Birthday Matt .o/ <3

give it a few more days. The first version was released next sunday, 2 years ago.

Team Vortex was founded by me and hyperion (mainly me tho :P) in early January 2000

Yeah, Congratulations Team Vortex. Well done, I'm the same as Messy as when i found Deathball for Ut2003, i havent looked back. Not played any other mod seriously since then. I did buy Ut2004 especially for deathball.

Deathball has evolved, for the better throughout. My experiences of recent have being of a lag issue, and in which dont know if its the server or the computer, or even worse both :\

Seems lots of servers, are laggy atm...

Well the true celebrations must start on 2nd Jan to mark my two years playing. :p

I've barely played anything else online in my life. I bought UT2K4 just for DB. This is quite some mod and the future looks even more promising. Well done TV and here's to two more years (come Sunday ;) )

I had about given up on UT2003 when I tried Deathball for the first time in 1.0. Haven't looked back since and it was the only reason I bought 2004.

Happy birthday DB!! \o/

this could be a great big rehearsal....

in which case i think i need to restate my opening remark.

deathball's greatest blessing and greatest curse is that it is the truest team player game out there . depends how you look at it.

Dunno, not really... It has lots of team principles, but if you are a good player, you really have an effect on the team, you can pretty much carry them on your back. Same with a bad player, it really shows when you are bad.

And you have full vision in all maps, so the only reason to use voice comms is for tactics (not really needed now, most clans know each other quite well).

the very fact you need to 'carry' that person makes it more involving than just being able to ignore him and carry on with 'your' game.
