Week 1 Results - playing in the spirit of the league

Well week 1 is over, and all but one of the games was played!

A couple of issues have come out of the week, and I feel they should be addressed.

1. Please organise and play games in a spirit of good sportsmanship. This is supposed to be fun, and when I see a team cry "default win!!!!" at the first opportunity I find it a little sad. The rule allowing a team to use an unregistered substitute is there for a reason. Please use it as a last resort, but use it. A game played is better than a default win or draw.

2. Due to the situation that arose in the game between as and cY, a new rule has been added requiring each team to field a minimum of 4 players throughout a game.

3. Accusations of foul play or requests for default wins MUST be accompanied by evidence

The best example I saw of good sportsmanship was TEZC fielding a weak team against AoV. Their goal keeper was not experienced, but they still played.

Fair play award for the first week goes to TEZC

Good luck in Week 2's matches to be played on the 13th of December at the latest!!

Obvioulsy I realise members of a clan playing can spec, but if you are not in any of the clans playing, can you still spec?

default wins are gay, TDs = 5 goals and stats are wrong, they don't cache after reconnects

rules:

Any game not played by the deadline will result in a default draw, unless a team captain can provide irc logs showing that they had a full team to play twice before the deadline and the other team failed to play.

i don't wanna speak for eV team, so i'll only give my point of view:

even if we're late, i'd prefer play the match than having a gay def win, especially coz it's undeserved for ßk°

so, maybe i'll try to arrange this match tonight, coz i really don't wanna see a def win, DB is a game, it's not about a random ranking on a website

edit @ bloodeh: it seems someone in eV managed to show we should get a def win, just wanna say i don't agree, either it's played tonight for exemple, or def draw..... tho, i'm not leader, just teamplayer, not up to me

this league is looking good and in good hands, ive talked to sina bout it at school and i said i would donate to a prize for the winning whatever. i said IF i got a job i would offer a server or cash prize or wateva, just to spice things up and for teams that think o its just dbl u win jack shit, well now u can think , hey i might win or being unsportman like defeating a team so they dont win money, still gives that urge to play their best. i know lot of you have jobs n shit, but i still would go ahead (no promises yet inph/wib/rino) im looking for a job
