Free Forums?

Post by Bodom »

Anybody know a good free forum service to use that has few/no popups? I'm tired of using ezboard for everything. What service is this board on? I'd think it was custom if I hadn't seen the same format on several other sites

This is vb, Personally im a phpbb fan though. http://www.phpbb.com works well for some community boards, large or small.

I think he means a free domain.

If you are just looking for a free message board, but have your own domain to host it on, i recommend either phpBB or Invisionboard

They require a MySQL Database to host them, because they are run with PHP scripting.

or, if you dont like those try YaBB

It is cgi and pl scripting, so it requires cgi folder and stuff...im not too familiar with that one, because im not a huge fan of it :)

But if you do not have your own domain, try Proboards

btw, this forum is vBulleten (sp?) and it does cost money, i believe.
