Then there was Sluggo's personal favorite, Carball -- soccer with cars pushing around one giant speeding ball. In fact, the mod is heading towards a "World Cup" in the beginning of 2005 featuring eight teams from around the globe, proving that there's no limit to the things that could come out of the mod community.

They're nothing alike, so if I'm in the mood for a puzzle game I play Tetris, if I'm in the mood for sports-type action I play DB... if I'm in the mood to shoot people's heads off and kick them around, I play Postal 2.

Actually I was calling attention to the fact that they are trying to start a world cup tourney AND they managed to get more publicity than our beloved DB.

I was thinking about opening some talks with the Carball community about perhaps combining communities based on our shared love for sporting-related mods. They are in the process of building a league and we all love to compete! We may even get some convertees and vice versa. Cause if you love one of the mods, chances are the the other will certainly appeal to you as well.

i'm just pissed that they seem to be successfully running a world cup tourney, and our (ended up being my) attempt at a euro2004 was a bit of a debacle...

yeah how many times did i put up ladders, league and helped with the draft...nothingever happends cause we can`t even agree on what is what when it comes to it
