Here's what we are doing in the NADBL. It would be cool to do for the Euro League also.

The Game:
Now that we are keeping track of individual stats we've decided to have an All Star Game. The game will take place in the week after the regular season is completed and before the playoffs.
Rankings:
This game will feature the top ranked players at each position according to equations the council has come up with. Stats determine the rankings and the only stipulation is that to be eligible for the All-Star Game a player must have at least 5 games played. We may have to make a minimum saves rule for the keepers also.
O-Rank = (4 * Points + Ints + Kills) / Games_Played
D-Rank = (6 * Ints + 3 * Kills + Points) / Games_Played
G-Rank = Save %
The equations are going to reward good all around players. For example, a midfielder that has a lot of ints and kills(good defender) will benefit. And a defender that helps on offense(some assists, goals) will also benefit.
It is possible for a good all around midfielder to make the defensive team, but unlikely. It is also possible for a good all around defender to make the midfield team, also unlikely. If a player makes both positions then he may choose which position to play.
We will try to get these rankings in a table somewhere.

In total 10 Midfielders, 4 Defensemen, and 2 Keepers will be selected to play. The subs will come in with 10:00 left in the game for the low ranking Midfielders and the Defensemen. The #1 and #2 Midfielders and the 2 keepers will play the whole game.
We hope this will be a success and that we can do it for each season.
