to all who care,
I am perhaps one of the most old school players around. I started playing DB since version 1.0. I had to leave the country for a year to serve with the US Army in Iraq. I am back I see DB has progressed. Some new maps have been "officially" released. I am a bit peeved b/c 2 of the maps are BLATANT rip-offs of 2 of my maps.
DB-SmallTouchdown is a CLEAR copy of my map I made back in mid 2003 called DB-SmallFootball.
Also, DB-WrongWay is a CLEAR copy of my DB-Olympus.
In fact, each map is almost the EXACT SAME MAP with some textures and visuals being different.
Anyone who is super old school will remember those maps. I'd like everyone to know who was the original creator of those maps and ideas. IMO DB-SmallFootball was a creative new twist on DB that I wished was implemented. Well it seems my ideas have been taken and absolutely no credit was given where it was due.
Sorry if this sounds like I'm a whining bi7ch...but I feel I deserve some credit.
Thanks to anyone who can sympathize....

Holy shit its harv, man I was just thinking about you the other day wondering if you ever got back from iraq. It's good to see you made it back safe. I remember both of those maps you made and sure enough when db-wrongway and db-smalltouchdown came out, I said that they were a complete ripoff of your maps, including many other NA dbers. NA db is still alive so come over to gamesurge.irc.net #dbmixer whenever you get the time.

I was playing UT2003 when it came out (shock) and i was playing BR (woo) and i thought "hey, this is like a footballish type game.. be good if it was more orientated toward that.."
Then i made a sketch book of maps and logos and stuff, called Deathball.
Then my book was stolen on a trip to Germany.
To this day i wonder what became of that book, and my novel and 100% noone-will-ever-think-of-making-this-generic-mod-concept
I guess it'll be a mystery..

Frag*Ball with hammer only mutator was fun :p (UT old-skool)
Team Xeres lingered in the UT2003 world for a while, even after they packed up to move to a different platform. (Apparently the DNF one it seems) I was hosting Frag*Bert's betas via UT2Vote on the BuD#2 server as he put them out. It was a shame they gave up. I really enjoyed that mod for the old UnrealTournament as did the crew I used to LAN with/host for.
