Well, we could at least prepare ourselves, e.g. collect weapons, tools (e.g. torches), a first aid kit and things like that.

Well, we need a first aid kit, you know, I don't have endless energy for self healing, and some torches, some weapons etc ...

Hmmm, if I remember correctly *lookstowardstrees* some bandits who came to the house not long before you camped out in a small cave not far into the forest there, I killed them so anything that they had with them is probably still there if you wanna check it.

Well I have the thermal goggles, my riffle, my axe, and my knife....I think I seen flashlights in a box in the tent, but as far as weapons I don't know....
