Spastically swinging around your mouse while jumping at difficult timings causing you to leap enormous distances.

There was some great trickjump map for ET :D I dreamt about that for 2 nights until I finally completed it :s

Or not... unlike dodging in ut, strafe jumping is quite hard to learn (well not for all), it takes a lot of practise to master the technique, but once you have master it will improve your game greatly
