Getting into the game.

Post by Zack »

Is there any possible way to get to play without having UT2004? I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this but I was just wondering.

No, though Catalyst (a community legend :p *ASSKISS*) is making a game called X-Ball.
Although i think its just been started the principle is the same as DeathBall - except it will be standalone and not need 2004.

Long way off, i'd guess, but its a plan.

Ok thanks guys. New question, is Deathball good enough to buy UT2004 just to play it?

Well, it's the reason I bought UT2004 :) UT2004 itself is a pretty good game though.

And Ash is the official community legend Jr, you should know that

Considering that UT2004 is now considerably cheaper, I would say get it not just for DB but for the gameplay it comes with aswell.

I would say yes but that really depends on each person because not everyone likes deathball. Personally I didnt buy 2k4 just for deathball but for the vast amounts of mods that are out there.

It was worth my 30€... Deathball, for me, is still the best game ever created, with literally unlimited tactical evolution, i still feel like playing it every day, and i imagine the tricks and moves that are yet to be found, to be used and to be mastered, which will make each match more and more spectacular every new day.
