Crap and once again crap, why do they feel its so "good" for their beliefs? Yes, I bet the people from london did alot wrong! ;/

They seem to've gone after disruption rather than utter carnage, which is something to be thankful for, but it's still shocking. On the plus side the response from london's emergency services seems to be good. I hope the people who were injured and their families will be alright

Aye, was an unpleasant day - and I don't even work in central London, which I am thankful for. Looks like all my friends and family are ok which is a relief.

This attack will achieve nothing. This sort of thing never does...

It's a damn shame. This is a total disrespect for human life. It's really so enfuriating the way some people are led to commit such awful acts through deceit and lies.

Well im not gunna get bogged down in another debate, to be honest - we know this is wrong, all wrong, but it happens.

I agree they've gone for disruption, they blew up 1 bus when they could have blew up a lot more. I suppose this was a warning - though i hope not.

All they have achieved is a stronger resolution to their own destruction, which i hope takes place very - very soon.

But i dont feel as safe as i once did, i'll admit... i said today - You look at the London Underground and you think it'd be one of the 'landmarks' to be protected - especially after Madrid - and yet -- this happend, still.

Overall though i think we can safely say yes, we have been lucky - not just because they didnt do what maybe they had the power to do - but we've been waiting for this moment to come since September 11th, our services trained to deal with it, now it finally has i read the services delt amazingly.

Let's hope this doesnt start a chain of attacks.

Since i was in sheffield in the lads/lasses new flats there was no television, so i got one of the girls radios and they replayed Blair's speech (i suppose) and i thought i was one of the most honest things i think he's ever done- i thought he sounded a bit emotional and heck, i wont blame him, but i thought it was an amazing speech.

(That was a bit long, and i was in and out of typing it so if it gets a bit confusing..meh

)

Aye, the very first statement he made after it happened was the most human I've ever known him to be - it was a good thing to see.

And I think that it's more potent to disrupt the service than cause major damage - it keeps people in fear, and it causes damage to the economy. Just take a look at the stock markets. That and perhaps it was the most they could get through our security perhaps?

The cynic in me asks if they did it ust to see how our contingency plans work out though... so they can hit harder next time. I pray that isn't the case.

I'm proud of our emergency services

If I may be allowed to chime in here....first of all I wish you well following the attacks of yesterday morning.

Also from what I was able to tell from the reports here in the US it did appear to be an attempt to disrupt the flow of everyday living in your city, but also an attempt to strike fear knowing that you are vulnerable (Believe me I know that feeling). Seemingly since September 11 all attacks that have occured have been just that, unfortunately though innocent lives have been taken in these attempts. I myself being in public safety here in the US was amazed to see the swiftness of your emergency services, and also your medical teams leaving the hospitals to give aid and treatment in the streets.

I have no doubts that your nation will prevail following these attacks, as you have done in the past. Also I wish you all luck and safety.

It's good that the threat now would seem more real to european people.

Whereas before it was more likely for non-americans to discard the so called 'terrorist threat' (though sadly hugely exaggerated and abused by the US government on many occasions), now it seems more real to 'us' too.

I fear Den Haag will be the next target (US ambassade, International Court and a lot of other buildings together in a very small area) if any guerilla, fundamentalist or terrorist organisation wants to 'try' anything in the near future.

I hope everyone and everyone's relatives are ok. I was quite shocked to hear this tbh.

(let's face it; I care more about Londonners than any US citizen ^^; regardless of my misantropic nature)
