Old men gamers....
Hey guys.....
Long time, no post.
As you may know, I am no spring chicken. At 32, I am even on the plus side of the "average" age of the gamer at 28.
When I play DB, I always get a kick out of hearing things like "I have to get back to school", or "my Dad needs the comp".
I can't help but feel like a relic out there with all of these kids. Not taking anything away from them; many of them are fine players and genuinely nice guys, I just wonder about the pros and cons of each age.
Some ideas;
Young pros: Good reflexes, hand-eye is sharp, hyper-aggressive, lots of free time (assuming they don't care about girls and school). Any more?
Young Cons: No cash for 1337 comp, school, parents, siblings, using too much time. More?
Older Pros: Cash for 1337 comp, no parents, time (assuming one has achieved at least the monetary trappings of success in life), experience, patience. More?
Older cons: Wife, kids (both if married) perhaps no cash 'cause of high-maintenance wife and private school for Leopold, work, responsibility. More?
Well, I am sure there are many more for each catagory. I am interested in what you think...post your age if you wish....it may help in understanding your ideas....
See you on the pitch....
