Currently trying stupididiothead.htm... damn. I was sure about that one. :D

Here's a riddle instead.

What is so special about the word facetious? What is the only other word in the English language that is special in this way?

It uses all the vowels in their proper order. However, I can't think of another word.

Hey, did anyone get electroencephalography? (EEG)

By the by, I found this one lately and I quite like it. Bet 50p it's solved by the time I get to work tomorrow morning.

If you put a cork in an ordinary glass of water it will always move to the side of the glass and stay there. However there is a way of making sure the cork stays floating in the centre of the glass without altering the makeup of the water or attaching anything to the cork.

How?

e.g. by making a small whirlwind, blowing around the cork and preventing it from getting to any side of the glass :D

(That's the idea of a person who has absolutely no idea about physics! :D)

Freeze the water? Or is that classed as altering its makeup?

See what you mean about the ugly bird/playful fish. It's a headscratcher!

Edit:- To add the the list of things done - I've looked at what's on the pic i.e. the title and address bar and URL and tried crab, cat , barracuda all anagrammable out of the url and tit (as in blue tit!) from the title and eel (from "tell me"). But of course these aren't the only animals.

..and monitor(lizard) :)

Well, that might be a solution for Atchou :D

@wayfarer - I'd say that'd be altering the makeup of the water. Perhaps I should have said a way to make sure it remains *floating* in the centre of the glass.

How about gently heating the water glass so that convection currents keep the cork floating centrally?

Btw. you got to keep your 50p - spend it wisely!

I bought a carton of milk for my tea :D Good thing no-one bet against me.

Wayfarer: That's a very creative solution. If you post a video of it in action I'll concede ;) Until then the problem stands...

:D Again, post a video and I'll concede. I'm afraid I couldn't test that here in my office - I can test my solution here.

 Too late anyway; I'm at work.

You can try it yourself with your tea/coffee at your desk and a cork.

Spin the cork before you put it in the water glass? (blatant ripoff of Kisa's idea + reality :D)

...or never take it out of the wine bottle :D
