Being equally stupid on the next one. Eventually anagrammed the right thing, which really doesn't help.

This one was quite tricky - I only got it from Nicky's hint a few pages back about fable of the keys! Think I might have bypassed an egg!

A man standing outside on a forty foot tall ladder when a gust of wind causes it to begin to sway violently. Even though a forty foot fall would cause him some broken bones at the least, and the ladder, being unsecured could possibly fall, the man is unconcerned, why?

It's flat on the floor. Or he's at the bottom (which would account for the swaying!).
