I have to disagree.
With this being a mod, not a retail game I don't think getting them starting work on the mod again should be dependant on sponsorship / income.
Whilst I agree that they do deserve something for the work they have done over the years, they should either continue to work on it for the love of the mod, or just accounce officially that work has stopped for good on the mod, at least then the public knows exactly whats going on. The public has been on tenterhooks waiting for an update for ages, infact its going to be a year pretty soon.
