Map Request!

The current SmallCube isn't what you'd call.. flashy or anything; but some of you appear to like it so to each his own.

We (NA'ers) like to 3v3 VO but it's usually in DB-Old-SmallCube, which was the DB 1.6'ish SC.

Now I know for a fact that some of you have the old maps from back in the day (DavidM said so himself!) so I'm asking you to whip out the older 1.4b SmallCube!

I know the maps won't just work for the new version of db so what needs to be done so that we can play it in version 2.3? Anyone willing to do it?

I know DavidM has it but his replies are often "meh, cba" or whatever

So David, if you can upload the map and give it to me that'd be great o/ Unless someone else has it and is willing to give it to me $\o/$

The scaled down really-really-empty arena-ish first-ever cube?

I only really remember 4 smallcubes anyway

- The first basic smallcube people play like to play gibball in somehow;
- The spammy smallcube with the roof I've grown to hate through association with crammed 5on5 ego-whore games;
- The 1.7 cube with the screen, but scaled down; followed by the second one again in 1.8 or so, and then
- The gothic bit-wider reverse-spawn smallcube we have now

I like it best by far.

Anyway, I deleted all older DB versions from my hard disk /o\ sorry.

ya, same es messy
first was poo
2nd is the same poo just with an annoying ceiling that ruins the gameplay
3rd was this weird laggy scaled down cube
and current (owns)
well AND newsmallcube, which ain't released, but we play it sometimes

Hah, yeah it sucked but it was so sweet back in the day, some of us still like the spammy roof, it adds fun to the game

I don't really think they're the same map. The "newsmallcube" on BuD is an abomination.

Mostly.. yeh. And the logged matches are only those that were complete games. If peeps mapvote out before the end, the match isn't counted.

edit: played it, kind of liked it..nice and wide

awfully bright though, however I guess graphics are temporary anyway

David likes overly bright maps (see blocko).

I think the width of the new one is good too. There's room for both surely? No need to replace the current one.

p.s. slightly OT. Can you please fix up touchdown (and small td) David? It's annoying when the ball bounces off the field lines.
