Setting up a dedicated server..

Post by Demolution »

Hey all, I'm trying to setup a server here.

I've got all the files in the right folders, and restarted the server.

But when I do, I don't see the maps in the map list, but I can restart the server using the console to make it go to the map, but It'll crash and just restarts to what my default server settings were.

Also, I did that ucc server thing... but linux said 'commandlet server not found'

and also, all of the deathball files aren't capital when I uploaded the files to the server

eg. DB-Cube -> db-cube

Cube is capital on my computer, but not capital when I upload the file to the server, all of the files are just lower cases and which I don't know how to fix that either.

Any ideas how to fix all of the problems? (if you can't fix the capitals, then it's no biggy heh)

-How to setup a dedicated server?
Add ServerPackages=Deathball in the UT2003.ini
The command to start the server is
ucc server db-cube.ut2?game=deathball.db_deathball
db-cube.ut2 is the map here
that's all you need...
You might need to serverpackage all of the files since we don't dynamically link.
