i heard about a tennis mod in irc, something fun if done well.

ball looked slow there, but i guess from the eyes its going to be alot faster. also if there was a pub server with people entering and leaving it will be fun to see 2 v 1 games

one nice thing though is most cable users with 128 (256+ would be better) can host games when bored...

3 servers already, although if you want to play on them you have to drop by #tennismod on quakenet and ask for passes etc..

ball is fast enough easily, gameplay is fantasticly fun and addictive

my thoughts:

allow a first person view, that view, or a longways view (H - like most tennis games) depending on player preference.

add ability to spike it really hard if you volley it within a certain, very small radius

2v1 matches are usually pretty close since one of the two players just gets in the way, misses, and then the player behind isn't expecting the ball so it goes through and he scores. Playing doubles is tough.

Chick, XiLLeRaToR, and myself played a thing where you play for one point, whoever loses the point subs out and the third person goes in. It's fun.

Doubles pwns. Just have a baseline dodgemaster (teh Fizzy) and a netplaying volleywhore (teh plær).
