Deathball is heading in the right direction. But...

Post by Onge »

New weapon. New maps. Replay features. Excellent scoring system. Maybe branching out into other sports (Tennis, Rugby). all this makes me excited to be an avid Deathball player. However one proposed change could prove to be disasterous...

The goalkeepers. In 1.7 dodge distance is reduced and dodge jump is much slower. I feel hindering goalkeepers could prove to be fatal mistake as goalkeepers are an endangerous species how it is. Changing keepers not only is unnecessarly but could be the final straw for the current keepers like myself who feel being hindered further makes keeping go from a hard job to an impossible job. So DavidM I beg of you, leave keepers EXACTLY as they are in 1.6 and Deathball will continue to flourish. Otherwise the consequences could be grave...

Keeping is a lot of fun at the moment, so leave it as it is.

If this is the case, DavidM should be ashamed of hismelf...Isn't it more rewarding to score a goal past a good keeper who is on top of his game, rather than a weak (or delibrately hindered) one?

personally i dont think DavidM is trying to make the game unbalanced.

if people would open their minds to new ideas and make constructive criticisms of their own rather than just inflammatory accusations this game would develop faster.

Instead we have a community full of apparently 'l33t' players who are nothing but hypocrits who complain about things like noobcannoning and then use it themselves.

I'm not going to name any names but you know who you are.

when i was in a 1.7 beta test with davidM about 2 weeks back, he said that the dodge was being changed back to full distance after not working well, you lot are jumping the gun here.

..if he changed his mind after that i dont know, but thats what i last heard from him.

If that is the case Diab I will be very happy. I remember after the first 1.7Beta, DavidM said something similiar, but in the second beta things weren't much better...I do hope you're right...
