Argentina can be a strong team imo but I guess we just don't have that many people from argentina playing db or np :)

Individually Argentina isnt the top-team of this world cup. they are one of those favorites, which dont have 3x more famous players on every position compared with german team.

but they seem to have a well working team (of course with technical talented players) - this could be enough to win, but this isnt enough to get the votes of neutral voters.

otherwise riquelme would play in one of european top 10 teams and crespo wont be "just" a reservist. the other players arent the big star-players to my mind.

Rooney is only out for the first game(even that game he could actually make it) and btw France doesn't suck, they have a good team.

I have Brazil, Argentina and Spain as my favorites.

france have good players, but not a good team
rooney being out only for the first game is the optimistic version .. besides when you come back from an injury you don't always perform really well..
anyway i really hope he will get to play, i love this player

Here is the french Squad(they will be dangerous in a tournament, they only struggle when they are the favorites and have to win...in 1998 they weren't the favorites and won):

-------------------Coupet

Sagnol-------Thuram------Gallas------Abidal

--------------Makelele----Vieira

------Wiltord-----------------------Zidane

-------------Trezeguet----Henry

Not bad :p

He is the best on the team line up for attack yeah, but I don't think we are doomed without him for a few games ....that's all :)
