betatesting now wouldnt make too much sense since not all gameplay bugs are fixed yet.

i have 3 of those
dbcurrent, dbnew and dbold

using dbold for old crap versions, to show myself again and again how crap the old versions actually are and that its just the nostalgic value that makes the people think they are good :P

i have a theory on why people are nostalgic about previous versions. Its very simple really.

In the past, as they got better skilled, it felt good. And therefore fun.

Now, they see other 'newbies' getting skilled (slowly) but they themselves have stopped improving as much. Combine that with the fustration of not always playing at their best, and they start to think thats it not them but the new version's fault.

yup, it has not much to do with the game
it was just so easy to play at that time, cause nobody was defending, you could score whenever you wanted, and you felt good at that
now its getting harder every day...

why not just take the rust texture, desaturate it and then give it a really subtle tint like blue or something, i think that would look pretty cool...

i would be happy to make a new texture but im sure there are better in the tex packs. other than that texture (which makes me want to puke) cube3 looks ubersweet

Yes that one texture is the only thing I can see that is ruining the map.

Yeah, the roof texture is totally out of place, I assumed you were just using it as a placeholder!

A more industrial look would suit it I think.

just a question on 1.7. will tennis be counted as a seperate mod, or incorporated into deathball? i'm not sure about player numbers (not having played db tennis) but is it possible to have tennis and deathball running on the server at the same time? i.e. if a tennis map is selected we play tennis, if a deathball map is selected we play deathball. the server i use has mapvote.

All the Tennis stuff will be added to the Deathball zip/umod.

If the mapvote supports votes for gametype then you can just change maps with that
