Eve Online

Post by Rens2Sea »

Just wondering, anyone here know Eve Online?

It's a MMO in space, and yes, you do have to pay for it.
The game is 3 years old, but still fully supported and constantly improved, currently they are working on a total engine overhaul, supporting directx 10 and windows vista etc...

You can do a lot of stuff in the game, from mining to pirating to joining a (player made) lottery to doing missions with friends etc etc.
There's even a player made bank.
There's a complete stock market, shares, and stuff.
There are corporations (clans/guilds) up to 500 members

Anyways...

I'm a Male Caldari Civire and my current (npc) corporation is State War Academy. I'm specializing in long range combat, missiles style.

So now drop WoW and join me in Eve :D

I've always wanted to play it. I'm afraid it'll destroy my social life though, that's actually what prevents me from getting subscripted.

I read this story a while ago:
