I didn't like Arthur Japin's De Grote Wereld..is that one better?

Een Schitterend Gebrek is supposed to be loads better..so maybe I'll read that some other time

Currently re-reading Nescio..

Nescio is about 2 leagues higher than Japin will ever be

Anyway, De Zwarte.. is indeed a lot better. KDF couldn't stop talking about it when I told him I was reading it.

I just finished reading 1984 by George Orwell. Definitively one of the most inspiring novels I've read in years.

A couple of years ago I've seen the film Equlibrium which is a nice film if you want more after reading 1984. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0238380/

George Orwell

1984 is one of the better ones, rather then Animal Farm. Also ... good film ^^

I wanted to rent it again yesterday but I rented 'Hitchhiker's Guide'

..still currently reading 'Max Havelaar' which is some revolutionary book, that was not only important to Dutch literature, but something which also launched the whole idea of 'fair trade' etc.
