*puzzled* Um - okay - well - *thinks shortly* When you have something that other people want - because you made it or you found it - you could give it to those other people to get something else. Like food, for example. Or you give what you have to someone who gives you money - which you could take to exchange it for food somewhere else. You could say, it is some replacement thing. You need it to get what you want.
