Full Spectrum Warrior Update/Patch?

My nephew asked me if there was a patch/update for FSW. His game doesn't run (gets a runtime error, abnormal termination of the .exe) and he was told that he'd need "the update" or the game wouldn't work. He's got the specs right. I've looked around, but didn't find any. You know about this update?
